Food and Health Research Institute (UFHRI) is Unilever's central
research organisation for the Food Business. Located in Vlaardingen,
the Netherlands, the UFHRI creates and delivers business relevant
and unique solutions underpinning brand innovation programs,
based on scientific and technological capabilities.
We are looking for a Statistician (6160)
In this role you will be part of the data
science team within the Advanced Measurement & Data
Modelling activity of UFHRI. This team of statisticians
and data analysis experts acts as the centre of expertise
for turning data into information.
You task:
- Participate
in R&D project teams as a statistical consultant with
a focus on designing and analyzing nutrition clinical
intervention trials and translating results into successful
directions for product innovations. This includes developing,
agreeing within project teams and managing a data analysis
plan and delivering on time. Success highly depends on
clarity of communicating results;
- Provide creative solutions for specific
objectives/problems in the projects;
- Make recommendations
for future work and initiate new activities;
- Develop expertise
and new methodology to bring analysis of trials to the
next level;
- Work closely
with other statisticians to ensure optimum leverage of
data analysis skills.
Job requirements:
- Academic education (MSc or PhD) in
mathematics / statistics or related technical area. Alternatively
academic education in other disciplines in combination
with a proven affinity for data analysis and relevant
experience;
- Good working knowledge of a wide range
of statistical techniques. Experience (2-3 years) in the
design and analysis of human / clinical trials is a distinct
advantage;
- Programming skills for data manipulation
and statistical analysis (SAS);
- Innovative in researching and testing
new statistical approaches;
- Team player who can give direction
and can function in multinational multi-disciplinary teams;
- Good communication skills;
- Fluent in English (written and spoken);
- Strong networker.
