and aroma chemicals, is currently seeking a Sensory Analyst
to join our creative team in Rockleigh, NJ.
This position will assist in managing
the execution of all discrimination, affective and descriptive
panels.
- Demonstrate basic understanding of
various sensory techniques.
- Work with Manager on interpretation
of panel results utilizing statistical analysis
- Prepare written sensory reports &
provide internal guidance for flavor development
- Collaborate with Mgr. on daily sensory
projects.
- Maintain sensory files, project notebook,
and sensory panel materials.
- Manage Sensory lab day to day activities
including standard screening solutions for library and
paneling evaluations
- Assist in managing Flavor Library
system including set up of flavor evaluations screenings,
and data entry into library system
- Assist as back-up for Library Coordinator
for Optiva software system for sales requisitions for
project execution, assignment, and tracking
- Interaction with Creative, Applications
& Marketing departments
- Must demonstrate
well developed communication skills, basic understanding
of various sensory techniques, oral and written presentation
skills
- Flexibility in adjusting to changing
project priorities and deadlines, and ability to coordinate
efforts cross-functionally to meet timelines.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks,
and work as part of a team
- Work independently under the direction
of Manager
A B.S. in Food Science or related
field with at least 3+ years experience in R&D lab,
sensory evaluations, or related lab setting required. Knowledge
of Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Sensory systems such as
SIMS, Compusense, or other sensory data collection systems.
