Sensory Scientist

£26,000 - £32,000

Job Summary
This is a highly visible and accountable role within Mars Drinks. Not only will you be tasked with developing Mars Drinks product tasting capabilities and the expertise in sensory science internally but to also improve the understanding of consumer sensorial preferences for the following:

  • Coffee & tea experience
  • hot drinks vending systems

What have you got to offer Mars?

  • Degree Qualified in Food Science or relevant qualification
  • Excellent sensory skills (especially tasting) with strong track record of sensory assessment
  • Strong experience in running sensory tests with consumers in an fmcg environment
  • Proven understanding of sensory science
  • Experience in training others
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • The ability to act quickly and efficiently, yet with strong planning and organisational skills
  • A great teamworker with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Need to display curiosity and passion for drinks and/or food
  • The ability to travel globally
  • Work Permit for the UK
  • Valid driving license
