The research station Agroscope Changins-Wädenswil
ACW is an innovative, New Public Management operated research
institute for fruit-growing, viticulture and horticulture.
As soon as possible or by arrangement, we have a position
to fill as Food Sensory Scientist Sensory research and consulting.
Your tasks: You contribute to guaranteeing tasteful, enjoyable
plant-based food of Swiss origin through research work in
the field of qualitative and quantitative sensory evaluation
of fruit and vegetables and their processed products (inclusive
distillates). You work in close collaboration with other
centres of excellence in sensory science and are generally
interested in food technology (fruit and vegetable storage
and processing). You work in synergy with the teams food
analysis, food technology and nutrition & health and
contribute to relevant projects in pre- and post-harvest
research. Fundraising also belongs to your job profile.
Your qualification: We are looking for a candidate who has
completed an academic formation in Food Sciences, with experience
in sensory analysis and has a solid background in food technology.
Fluency in German or French as well as English is essential.
Knowledge of German is considered an advantage. A well-versed
statistical background and experience with appropriate software
is desirable. The applicant must be eager to work independently
as well as in a team, possess initiative and be self-motivated.
